Chicken Kali Mirch Pepper Chicken Curry

  • 500 gma Chicken
  • 2 Onion Medium
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 4-5 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Peppercorns or Kali Mirch
  • Salt to Taste
  • 3 tbsp Mustard Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tsp Jeera Powder


  1. Grind together Onion, Ginger, Garlic and Peppercorns.

  2. Heat oil in a pan and add this onion mix in it. Season it with some salt and fry till it is golden-brown in colour. Let it caramelize nicely as it would give the dish its unique colour. 

  3. Once done add the Garam Masala powder and Jeera Powder. Stir and mix everything well. 

  4. Add the Chicken pieces and give everything a good stir. Add 1 cup water and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes.

  5. Once the chicken is cooked till center, take it off the heat. Sprinkle some freshly chopped Coriander leaves and serve.
