This grilled paneer tikka recipe is a cult-famous Indian vegetarian appetizer recipe where tandoor grilled paneer is served along with grilled vegetables coated with the same paneer tikka marination sauce. Indian vegetarian recipes often include a lot of paneer recipes since dairy-based ingredients like paneer, ghee, yogurt, and milk are considered vegetarian items. This grilled paneer recipe is an excellent party snack idea and can be easily turned into a full-blown gravy side dish. More on that later.
Tandoor is an Indian oven that is made of clay, often used for cooking north Indian dishes. Grilled dishes like this tandoor paneer tikka are originally cooked in this one. Marinated cubes of paneer and veggies like capsicum, bell pepper, onion, and tomato are strung through a seekh or a long metal pin and then put inside the hot tandoor for grilling. However, not every Indian home has one but we can easily recreate the same flavor at home. Below is the blog post you will find the recipe laid out in detail, however, if you are in a hurry you can click “Jump to the Recipe’ and read a more concise version of it.
