  • 2 cups of pre-boiled Kathal or jackfruit, approx. 200 gms
  • 1 cup of pre-boiled Kachhe Kele or green banana (1 no.)
  • 1 cup of pre-boiled Potatoes (1 no.) – optional
  • 1 bread – toasted & ground – replace with Cornflour/Besan or Gram Flour/Arrowroot Powder for gluten-free option
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • 1/2 cup Coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chili flakes

Kathal kebab recipe instructions

  • Mix all the ingredients listed above in a large mixing bowl and make a smooth dough out of them
  • Divide it into 8 equal parts. Now roll each of them between your palms and flatten them into round discs
  • Heat any refined oil in a pan and fry the kebabs in 2 batches
  • Serve hot with chutneys.
