How to make fried Shrimp Balls – Ingredients list
- 200 grams of fresh prawns, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp of cornstarch
- 1 small Onion
- 4-5 cloves of Garlic
- 1 tbsp grated Ginger
- 2 tbsp of chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp of vinegar
- 1 tsp of soy sauce
- Salt & Pepper
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Step-by-step instructions for this crispy Prawn fry recipe in Thai style
- In the food processor jar, add the prawns, onion, and garlic. Grind it into a smooth paste
- Take it out into a mixing bowl. Add grated ginger, chopped coriander leaves, vinegar, and soy sauce
- Mix everything together. Add salt & pepper
- Heat the appe pan or ableskiver pan. Drop a couple of drops of oil into each compartment.
- Using a spoon or your hands, make small round portions of prawn mix and drop it into the hot oil and fry until golden brown
- Remove the fritters from the oil using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain off any excess oil
- Garnish these delicious prawn fritters with chopped cilantro and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce
