How to make fried Shrimp Balls – Ingredients list

  • 200 grams of fresh prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp of cornstarch
  • 1 small Onion
  • 4-5 cloves of Garlic
  • 1 tbsp grated Ginger
  • 2 tbsp of chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp of vinegar
  • 1 tsp of soy sauce
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Step-by-step instructions for this crispy Prawn fry recipe in Thai style

  1. In the food processor jar, add the prawns, onion, and garlic. Grind it into a smooth paste
  2. Take it out into a mixing bowl. Add grated ginger, chopped coriander leaves, vinegar, and soy sauce
  3. Mix everything together. Add salt & pepper
  4. Heat the appe pan or ableskiver pan. Drop a couple of drops of oil into each compartment.
  5. Using a spoon or your hands, make small round portions of prawn mix and drop it into the hot oil and fry until golden brown
  6. Remove the fritters from the oil using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain off any excess oil
  7. Garnish these delicious prawn fritters with chopped cilantro and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce
