Ingredients
1cupFarfalle Pasta
200gmsChicken Breast cut in pieces
100gmsButton Mushroom
2tbspButter
1tbspOlive Oil
1tbspAll-purpose Flour
6Cloves of Garlic
1OnionMedium
2tbspSour Cream - alternate would be Fresh Cream or Milk
¼cupFresh Cream - alternate would be full fat Milk
Salt & Pepperas per taste
2tspMustard Sauce
Finely chopped Coriander Leavesgarnish
Instructions
Boil the pasta as per the packet instructions. Keep it around 75% cooked.
1 cup Farfalle Pasta
Simultaneously, warm up a frying pan. Drop some butter and olive oil in it
2 tbsp Butter, 1 tbsp Olive Oil
Now add the finely chopped garlic and onion and let them sweat for a couple of minutes. We are just looking to cook them till they loose the raw smell
6 Cloves of Garlic, 1 Onion
Now, add the sliced mushrooms and let them cook for a couple of minutes
100 gms Button Mushroom
Add the chicken breast cut in smaller pieces. You can also cut them in thin strips. Saute everything together till you see the chicken almost partially cooked
200 gms Chicken Breast cut in pieces
Now sprinkle some all-purpose flour and give it a stir
1 tbsp All-purpose Flour
Now we are going to make the stroganoff sauce base for the pasta. So, add the fresh cream or milk and give everything a very good mix. Break the lumps, if any
¼ cup Fresh Cream
Add around 1/2 cup of the pasta water, sour cream, pepper and mustard sauce. Give everything a good mix. Let it simmer till the chicken is cooked well
2 tbsp Sour Cream, 2 tsp Mustard Sauce
Now drop the boiled pasta in it
Check for seasoning and add salt accordingly. Let the sauce thicken and coat the pasta nicely
Salt & Pepper
Turn off the heat and sprinkle some finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
