Are you a fan of the popular mango drink, Frooti? If so, you'll be happy to know that it's easy to make a homemade version of this refreshing beverage. With just a few simple ingredients, you can whip up a batch of delicious mango frooti that's perfect for hot summer days.
2Ripe Mangoespeeled and chopped that would come out as 2 cups
1Green Mangopeeled and chopped that would come out as 1/2 cup
1cupwater
1/2cupsugar
1/4cuplemon juice
A pinch of salt
Instructions
Prep the Mangoes. Cut off the top and peel the Mangoes. Chop the Mangoes and measure them properly
2 Ripe Mangoes, 1 Green Mango
In a blender, puree the chopped mangoes until smooth with Sugar
1 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar
In a non-stick pan, combine the mango puree, lemon juice, and salt
1/4 cup lemon juice, A pinch of salt
Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring continuously
Reduce the heat to low and continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and appears shiny
Remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature
Once the mixture has cooled, strain it through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any pulp or solids
Transfer the strained mixture to a clean jar or bottle and refrigerate
Use this homemade Frooti concentrate next time you crave some chilled summer drink. Simply dilute it by using an equal part of this Mango concentrate and sparkling water/soda/plain water. Or you can also serve this concentrate on ice for some icy chilled summer mocktail
