This kesar badam milk is a popular Indian elixir that brings warmth and deliciousness to a cup. Here mixed nut paste is simmered with milk and crushed spices to bring together a delicious and super-healthy drink perfect for those who are looking for some comfort in the winter.
Soak the nuts overnight or for at least 4 hours to soften them
Once soaked, peel the almonds and grind them along with the cashew into a smooth paste
Pour the milk into a pot and allow it to simmer till it thickens
Crush the Cardamom pods and grind the seeds along with pepper. Add it to the milk with some saffron threads
Add the nuts paste and give the milk a vigorous stir. Keep stirring as the milk simmers so that the bottom of the milk doesn't stick to the pot and burn
Once you find the liquid has reduced to half of the original quantity, turn off the heat and pour it out and serve
You may garnish it with some finely chopped pistachios and saffron. In case serving to the kids, you may skip the garnish
