This easy vanilla cake mug cake recipe is perfect for those who are new to baking.Or, those who aren't in mood for baking an entire cake but would love to grab a few bites of classic vanilla cake. Simple ingredients and basic techniques will give you the best vanilla mug cake that you will ever have. If you take my word, then bake for two and give your partner a lovely treat!
Pre-heat the oven at 180°C
Sieve the dry ingredients twice.
In a separate bowl, whisk the egg till fluffy. Then add the granulated sugar and oil and whisk till the sugar has dissolved completely.
Prepare the mugs for baking the cakes by brushing some oil.
Now, add the dry ingredients mix into the wet ingredients in 2 parts along with the milk and vanilla extract. Do not use electric beater for this. Rather use a balloon whisk or a fork.
Once the batter is ready, divide it in the mugs and bake it for 15-17 minutes.
Once you see the cake pulling from the side of the mug, you will know it is baked. Insert a toothpick in the centre and it should come out clean.
Take the mug cakes out from the oven and allow them to cool down completely.
Once they have cooled down completely, prepare the whipped cream. Whisk the cream and sugar till soft peaks. Take spoonfulls of it and put it on the top of the cakes.
Note that the cakes should be completely cool before you pour the whipped the cream of the top, otherwise it would melt.
Add toppings of your choice on the top of the cream.
